Course Description
Mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue infection, Japanese encephalitis and lymphatic, filariasis, epidemiology, pathogens, mosquito vectors, life-cycle, pathogenesis, pathology, clinical manifestations, management, prevention, and control.
Course Goals
The participant will learn and apply their knowledge about the importance mosquito-borne diseases. The overall detail of course is including epidemiology; pathogen; mosquito vectors; life-cycle; pathogenesis; pathology; clinical manifestation; diagnosis; management; prevention and control of diseases.
Course Objectives
- Student should acquire knowledge in mosquito-borne diseases. This course intends to provide the knowledge on:
- identification of medically important mosquito, habitat, life cycle and mode of disease transmission to humans
- Characteristic of important mosquito-borne pathogens, epidemiology, pathology, and diagnosis
- Clinical manifestation, case management and prevention and control of important mosquito-borne diseases
