Dr. Kobporn is Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. She investigates immunopathogenesis of important emerging and re-emerging viruses. She has a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Mahidol University, Thailand. Her thesis was conducted at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, USA. After completing her Ph.D., she was accepted for a position as a research fellow at NIAID, NIH, USA.
