Dr. Porntip Petmitr is an Associate Professor in the Department of Protozoology. She obtained her B.Sc. in Medical Technology from Chiangmai University. She has an M.Sc. in Tropical Medicine and Ph.D. in Biochemistry, both from Mahidol University. She teaches graduate students and supervises several Masters and Ph.D. students at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.
