Please be informed that this academic year (2022), the topic of TMCD 518-9 will be given as hybrid activity. You are assigned to complete the lecture by watching the VDO before laboratory demonstration at the clinical laboratory room on Friday 3 March 2023 between 14.00-15.00 pm.

I just wondering, what is the most common malaria complication? Is it depend on the species of Plasmodium?
Could you please suggest?
Thank you for your message. According to WHO criteria, the criteria of severe malaria for epidemiological purposes would be defined as shown in “World Health Organization (WHO). Guidelines for the treatment of malaria, 3rd ed, page 71-72, 2015 [cited 2023 July 24]. Severe malaria could be occurred in all Plasmodium spps. However, the most serious species would be P. falciparum.
